It started raining a week or so back and now suddenly we’re rapidly approaching fall. I’ve happily switched from shorts to sweaters and my beanie has resurfaced. A cozy season is upon us, and while I’m happy to welcome back comfort foods and warm tea, I think summer deserves a proper send off. So here’s to the hottest summer we’ve ever had here in the Pacific Northwest – to the long days, the warm nights, the watermelon, the lake jumps, the picnics, the road trips, and the cold beers.
